Use of "The: defined" and "a/an: indefinite".
"The" is used to refer to a definite article to show that the article is specific. Example: I have the black pencil.
a/and are indefinite articles because although they are talking about only one thing, they do not specify which one. Example: I have a pencil, He is an European boy
- Vocabulary Relationships
It is very important to know the Relationships, this will help us identify each one.
- Classmates
- Friends
- Neighbor
- Boss
- Colleage
- Boyfriend
- Girlfriend
- Possessive nouns.
Possessive nouns are used to indicate that something belongs to or is part of something.
Examples
- The bag of Abrahan - Abrahan´s bag
- The cellphone of Valentina - Valentina´s cellphone
When a word already has the "s" it is simply doing this: - They toys belong to my cousins - My cousins´ (do not repeat the "s")
Note: In this class we learn other vocabularies such as relationships, use of the" and "a/and" and possessive nouns, they are important to get to know more about English, to improve my English.
